Leadership

Dr. Jivesh Sharma is the CEO of Texas Cancer Associates in Dallas, Texas and has been a member of the clinical faculty, practicing at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas since 1993. In addition, he is CEO of HealthIT, Inc. — an internet services company, supporting the patient/provider network with technology solutions. He is also the founder of NexGen Oncology, bringing next generation cancer care to the oncology field and other practices by providing solutions for the diagnosis, management, and treatment of cancer.

Dr. Sharma is Texas trained and graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a B.S. in Biology in 1983. He completed his medical education at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas in 1987. Following an internship and residency at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio, Dr. Sharma was instructor and clinical fellow of medical oncology at the same institution. He is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology.

As an oncologist, Dr. Sharma has been at the forefront of cancer research, working to accelerate the delivery of new drugs from the “bench to the bedside.” His publications include medical oncology-related articles in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of the National Cancer Institute as well as articles relating to healthcare technology including those published in The Dallas County Medical Society Journal and Oncology Issues. In addition, Dr. Sharma has co-authored an industry report for the Financial Times of London on E-Business for the pharmaceutical industry.

Dr. Jaya Juturi joined Texas Cancer Associates following completion of her Fellowship specialty training in Medical Oncology and Hematology at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio. A top ranking graduate of Andhra University, Andhra Pradesh, India with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, she completed an internship at Government General Hospital, Kakinada, Andhra, India and an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics, and Veterans Affairs Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

Dr. Juturi is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology.

Dr. Juturi is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association and Dallas County Medical Society. She has authored numerous scientific abstracts and is on staff at several local hospitals.

Dr. Juturi has special interest in breast cancer, gynecologic malignancies, hematologic malignancies, specifically lymphomas and clinical research. In her leisure, she reads extensively, enjoys gardening and loves music, particularly Indian classical music.
